After our rough night last night, I took Antalya to the doctor. Turns out if you have croup you can't have surgery for at least six weeks. So, once again surgery is cancelled. All the emotions of hearing that news mixed with a sick, crying girl, and only a few hours of sleep last night made for one very not happy mom. I hate to admit that I have officially had a mommy melt down moment in the doctors office. Yeah, I'm sure her doc was loving it!
Anyways, I'm over the frustration for the most part (or maybe I'm just to exhausted to think about it anymore). I did schedule a meeting with the surgery on Friday to talk about it all. I don't remember the last time Antalya was healthy for more than 4 weeks in a row. I understand that there is added risk going into surgery if you aren't completely healthy and strong, but there's got to to a better answer than what we are doing now. The reason she needs the surgery is because she is always sick, and the reason she can't have the surgery is because she is always sick. What is a mom to do?
Here's to hoping November will the month we can finally saw good-bye to her darn tonsils and adenoids.

I'm so sorry...sorry she's sick and sorry your having to wait yet again. Truly I know of the road you walk, I'll be praying Nov. will be the golden month. Hope you all get some rest.

that is super frustrating. I don't get why they are making you sent the surgery date out so far. With Leah I went in on a Weds and she said she could get surgery on that coming Monday! I so get what you mean when they are only health for a small window of time-it's very straining! I'm sorry and hope everything goes better this month! Oh yeah the croup is my least favorite sickness.
Dang it! I'm so sorry. I would have had a melt down too, only it would have been one of those where they would evacuate the building. I sure hope Antalya is feeling better soon! Hang in there.
