Walking

We have had this walker sitting in our front room for a almost a couple months. It didn't matter what I did, Antalya refused to take more than 1 or 2 steps. Last week, Jason stood her up in it, and without a word, she just took off. After that, she has decided she loves it. She will even go pull it out and start walking with it. So this afternoon I took her out by the storage units so that she would have a long stretch of flat concrete on which to practice her walking (for those who don't know, my husband and I are managing a family-owned storage facility). She was walking so fast I could barely stay in front of her with the camera. Oh, it's a good day! I am so thrilled that she has discovered her feet!

I think Antalya knows how cool she is now that she can walk! I love the smile of total exuberance in the first pic and she looks like she's getting a bit of "attitude" in the second. She's entitled . . .she's learned a great new skill! I think she'll be taking off without the walker before you even expect it. She's sp adorable!!!

Yay Antalya! Those are some stinkin' cute pictures.
Yes- the 7th is the date. Brooke is out of town, so I can't talk to her about the exact time, but I'm thinking 5:30. That would be great if you'd talk to Kathleen.
Thanks. Can't wait to see everyone.

It's so fun to see their little minds just decide it's time and their bodies are just running to keep up. It amazes me. Way to go Antalya!

Wow, that is such awesome news! Way to go, Antalya! You were already such a speed demon with that crawl of yours, but now you'll be even faster walking! How exciting! Wish we could see it in person. :(

That is awesome!! I don't know how you feel but walking is a goal I have been dying to have Leah hit. In no time Antalya will be walking on her own!! where did you get that walker? my friend in Portland had one just like it-she got it from a private physical therapist. I'm way to poor to go buy one-but I think Leah would love that.
